Hi I am Clay Godby, a native Texan. I have a Bachelors of Music degree from Midwestern State University where I studied under Mr. Alan Black. I am an U.S. Army Veteran and served my time as a combat military police officer when I was deployed to Mosul, Iraq from 2008-2009. I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2013. After completing student teaching, I was a substitute teacher and taught all grade levels and subjects. During the 2013-2014 school year I was hired by Wichita Falls Independent School District at Hirschi High School as the In-School Suspension Teacher. Soon after I completed my school year there, I was hired on at F.W. Gross Elementary to continue my pursuit to teach music. I taught as a general music teacher at F.W. Gross Elementary School. As a music teach it was my responsibility to not only teach the students music but to use cross-curricular instruction to enhance what is taught in the classroom. Also as the music teacher it was my duty to teach my students about the other fine arts such as dance, and theater. I have a beautiful wife and three darling kids that decided to move here with me.
